ECF Community Fund. By making a gift to the Smart and Caring Community Fund, you not only support emerging and priority needs in the greater Edmonton community; you do so on a permanent ongoing basis. ECF prudently invests gifts as a pool to this fund through independent investment managers. Each year 4% of the fund value is granted (this MAKING ISOLATION POSSIBLE FOR EDMONTON’S HOMELESS Government funding is covering the basic costs of the shelter, but not the comforts that make a person’s living environment bearable. In mid-June, Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) issued a $71,000 grant to the Isolation Shelter via the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund. The grant allows the shelter to purchase FULL HEARTS AND FOOD HAMPERS C5 Northeast Hub started a food hamper delivery program with a grant of $10,000 from Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF). Each hamper contains fresh produce, vegetables, fruit, and other pantry necessities. “Right now, when so many people have lost work, assistance with basic needs has become much more crucial,” said Craig Stumpf-Allen, ECF GAY YOUNG - HOPE AND CARING CANCER FUND Donate to This Fund. As a recipient of the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund, Shannon Blanchet reflects on the community that built her up. Shannon Blanchet was at a crossroads in her life. Arriving in Edmonton at 19 years old, she was uncertain of her direction. But she auditioned for a Walterdale Theatre show — Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet) — and was BELCOURT BROSSEAU MÉTIS AWARDS (BBMAS) Since 2001, the Belcourt Brosseau Métis Awards have provided more than $7.9 million in over 2,000 awards to more than 1,300 Métis Albertans studying at institutions across Alberta. These awards are the largest non-governmental source of student funding for Métisstudents in

DAPPER BEAVER COMMUMITY SUPPORT FUND The Dapper Beaver created this fund to create a lasting impact in our community. We want to continue to lift up those around us, and give back long after The Dapper Beaver is gone.ECF COMMUNITY FUND

By making a gift to the Smart and Caring Community Fund, you not only support emerging and priority needs in the greater Edmonton community; you do so on a permanent ongoing basis. ECF prudently invests gifts as a pool to this fund through independent investment managers. Each year 4% of the fund value is granted (this MAKING ISOLATION POSSIBLE FOR EDMONTON’S HOMELESS Government funding is covering the basic costs of the shelter, but not the comforts that make a person’s living environment bearable. In mid-June, Edmonton Community Foundation (ECF) issued a $71,000 grant to the Isolation Shelter via the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund. The grant allows the shelter to purchase ENDOWMENT FUND INVESTMENT & MANAGEMENT All our investments are professionally managed. They earned an annualized rate of return on investment of -0.33% (in 2018), net of average custodian and investment counsel fees. Gross of fees, they have earned 7.95% since 1989. The long-term average real rate of return, as measured over moving 10-year periods, is expected to be aminimum of 5.5%.
