To register, please email Samantha Facciolo at samantha@sosspeace.org or Nadia Nasim at nadia@sosspeace.org Nearly 100 women from across North America attended the first gathering last week and it was so inspirational! Here’s some of the feedback that sisters provided: “spiritually nourishing”, “healing”, and “connecting.” Based on requests, the focus of the April 19th gathering will also be on nurturing our souls and connecting with community. We’ll open with Ramadan and Passover reflections, followed by silent meditation. You’ll then have 30 minutes to share your personal stories in small groups. How are you and your family coping? What are your hopes and concerns going into Ramadan? How was your Passover experience? I hope you and your chapter sisters can join us! VIRTUAL CHAPTER MEETINGS. Sisters from across North America have asked how they can stay connected to their chapters when they can’t meet in person. We heard you and want to make it as easy as possible! We’ll set up a Zoom meeting so your chapter can meet virtually via video. Contact Nadia: nadia@sosspeace.org and let her know the date and time. She will schedule your gathering, pending availability of the requested time slot, and send the link to whomever requested the meeting. You will be able to start and end the meeting without her. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom and would find a brief tutorial helpful, please contact Nadia for assistance. EXPERIENCE PASSOVER TOGETHER. If your chapter wants to share in a virtual seder, check out this fantastic new resource! Go to: https://sosspeace.org/passover-haggadah-for-jewish-muslim-seder/to
find a haggadah (the text and blessings recited during Passover seders). It’s specifically designed for Jewish and Muslim sisters and is accompanied by ideas for how to hold a seder virtually. Then, contact Nadia and she will set up your virtual gathering on Zoom. A special shout out to New York State chapters I and II who created the Haggadah, based on input from earlier versions written by San Diego and Chicago-North Suburban I chapters. SISTERHOOD VIRTUAL COFFEE CONNECTION. Would you like to connect with another sister one-on-one to share ideas, recipes, worries, or just a friendly chat? Click this link, fill out the brief form, and we’ll match you to a fellow sister. The two of you can then arrange your own virtual coffee/tea date! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfudF2ADFH2jAq9yImt6lGffOwGZydLqOEcY_fqzF5LrL5mVw/viewform?usp=sf_link.
