SCOTTISH SEABIRD CENTRE National Nature Reserve, the Isle of May is a magical wildlife haven in the outer Firth of Forth. In spring and early summer the island becomes a teeming seabird city with thousands of seabirds returning to breed, including puffins, guillemots, razorbills, fulmars, kittiwakes and shags. Become a SCOTTISH SEABIRD CENTRE Around 40,000 pairs breed on on the island each spring. Around 500,000 seabirds are now present on the Forth islands, including 150,000 of gannets and 90,000 puffins. Kittiwakes and terns arrive back and begin nesting. Guillemots, razorbills, puffins, gannets, shags, cormorants, eiders, gulls and fulmars either on eggs or already have chicks. SCOTTISH SEABIRD CENTRE Our exclusive Bass Rock landing trips are an unforgettable experience for photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.
