Terra Madre - The Food Communities Network. Terra Madre is a worldwide Slow Food festival to unite our food, our planet and our future. Physical and digital events run from October 2020 - April 2021. Every two years, the Terra Madre network meets for the global gathering of food communities in Turin. From 2004 to 2010, Terra Madre was held at the same time as Salone del Gusto but in a separate space. In 2012, for the first time, the two events were united, fusing the diversity of both. From Slow Food’s perspective, no other subject could be more pertinent, no other challenge more important than ensuring that both people and the planet are nourished: feeding the planet sustainably, protecting ROMANOV SHEEP FARMERS Romanov sheep are farmed primarily for meat. They are excellent grazers, extremely docile and curious, and can be approached with incredible ease. At birth they are completely black, but the fleece later lightens to become an uneven gray. The sheep are of medium-large size, and are known around the world for their fecundity. Each birth normally produces three or four lambs, but the litter size THE INDONESIAN BIODIVERSITY FOUNDATION Created in early 1994, the Indonesian Biodiversity Foundation, Yayasan Keanekaragaman Hayati Indonesia (Kehati), mobilizes and manages various resources to support programs for the protection of biodiversity, putting it to good use in sustainable projects. Slow Food Almanac. The Universal Exposition held in Milan this year took as its theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.”. From Slow Food’s perspective, no other subject could be more pertinent, no other challenge more important than ensuring that both people and the planet are nourished: feeding the planet sustainably, protecting ROMANOV SHEEP FARMERS Romanov sheep are farmed primarily for meat. They are excellent grazers, extremely docile and curious, and can be approached with incredible ease. At birth they are completely black, but the fleece later lightens to become an uneven gray. The sheep are of medium-large size, and are known around the world for their fecundity. The Trinidad & Tobago Goat & Sheep Society (TTGSS) is a national network of farmers with 30 members who raise goats and sheep for meat and milk.
