PROFESSOR GEOFF KLINGER ‘88 UNEXPECTEDLY DIES THIS WEEKEND Professor of communication and DePauw alum Geoffrey “Geoff” Klinger ‘88 died unexpectedly this past weekend. As a student at DePauw, Klinger was an economics major and involved with Greek life as a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was an award-winning member of the DePauw Debate Team and made the most of his CLASS OF 2025 ENROLLMENT UP FROM THE CLASS OF 2024 Class of 2025 Enrollment Up From The Class Of 2024. As the Spring 2021 semester begins to wind down, DePauw University is looking toward the Fall semester of 2021 and welcoming the Class of 2025. Although it was an unusual year with COVID-19 and the Class of 2024 was small in numbers in part due to the pandemic—only a total of 382 enrolled DEPAUW ANNOUNCES OFFICIAL DATES FOR IN-PERSON GRADUATION Today at 1 p.m. the university announced through email from the registrars office that commencement will be held outdoors, in-person, for the classes of 2020 and 2021. Live video streaming will be available for both ceremonies. The commencement ceremony for the Class of 2021 will be held May 23 and the commencement for the Class ENFORCING THE GUIDELINES DURING COVID-19: AN INSIDE LOOK The new guidelines for residencies around campus are consistent with the rest of DePauw’s COVID-19 restrictions, such as mask wearing in all public spaces and 6ft social distancing. Another major rule residents have to abide by is visitor restriction. There is a three person limit per dorm room and absolutely no outside visitors areallowed

Ford’s spoke to DePauw students detailing her life as the child of an incarcerated parent and how the criminal justice system affects children like her. Ford began her talk Thursday night by speaking of her life as a child. But this was only a part of her triumph in the face of language barriers and a new life. I was shocked and almost cried when I first read the incident through an Instagram post.
