They spoke in detail about the concepts cause and effect, impact, ecosystems and responsibility. The concept of WASTE was another key concept they students shared. We noticed that theywere beginning

The students connected with the story, sharing personal experiences of when they felt like Sophie. Next, we retold the story in our own words, using the story planner. SNAP TO IT WITH BOOKSNAPS Using BookSnaps, students can make text to world, text to text, and text to self connections. They can identify the main idea, parts of speech, synonyms, etcand reflect about the content they are learning. Older students can collaborate on a book study and create BookSnaps to share what they learned. Exploring Fractions. We began by brainstorming ‘What we know about fractions‘. Then, we watched a video on BrainPopJr. to learn more about fractions. Exploring Fractions. We began by brainstorming ‘What we know about fractions‘. Then, we watched a video on BrainPopJr. to learn more about fractions. We noticed that a fraction tells you the number of parts out of a whole. The students drew pictures to recognise 1⁄4, 1⁄3 and 1⁄2 of shapes and sets. Next, we created sets to show1⁄4
