NEW MEETING PROGRAMMED AT MOE NEXT WEEK Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that a new race meeting has been programmed at Moe next Sunday, 14 June 2020 to assist with ballot pressure and provide additional opportunities for lower rated horses. As previously communicated when the June Swan Hill Carnival was consolidated from three days to one, RV retained the flexibility to program a new meeting at an appropriate location during June should one be required. BALLARAT JUMPS TRIALS TRANSFERRED TO TRARALGON Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that the jumps trials scheduled at Ballarat on Friday, 5 June have been transferred due to the condition of the track owing to wet weather. RV considered all transfer options, however due to recent inclement weather across Victoria, Traralgon was deemed the most suitable track to conduct the trials. The jumps trials will now be conducted on Tuesday, 9 June, with nominations closing at 12 noon on Friday, 5 June.03 June, 2020
RV STEWARDS' REPORT - BILL CERCHI Racing Victoria (RV) Stewards have today issued three charges, of which two are in the alternative, against licensed trainer Bill Cerchi following their investigation into the circumstances that led to the Mr Cerchi trained Backstreet Alley returning a pre-race blood sample containing Frusemide (a diuretic) on 31 December 2019 following its run in the Westvic Waste and Recycling BM64 Handicap over 1100metres(the race).
