POPPEMAN - PAGE 2 OF 3 - HOME OF THE PICTUS PHOTO VIEWER Pictus 1.3.0 now uses DirectX 9.0 Ex, which should make crashes due to lost devices very rare (such as upgrading GPU drivers while Pictus is still running) and possibly improve performance a bit.SHE'S DEAD, JIM!
As some of you might have figured out, Pictus development has died down. I rarely use Windows these days and the results of the Linux port have been somewhat lackluster, so my motivation is pretty much gone. Hopefully Pictus will still be useful for you, but keep in mind that there’s no updates coming. Unless PICTUS 1.7.0 RELEASED This release adds some keyboard and mouse shortcuts for rotating and panning, plus it fixes a bug that could cause an error message when rotating or panning very fast PICTUS 1.4.0 RELEASED Pictus 1.4.0 adds support for remapping keyboard shortcuts. It also improves support for JPG images with non-RGB color spaces, although handling is still far from perfect.PICTUS 1.1.6
I just released a minor update to Pictus. It only fixes an issue in the viewer, so those who are only interested in thumbnails shouldn’t notice anything new in this version. BUGFIX: Transparency was brokenfor
PICTUS 1.2.1 RELEASED Pictus 1.2.1 fixes a crash bug introduced in the previous version. It also fixes a bunch of broken characters in the Swedish translation. Having only bilingual testers is apparently not thegreatest idea 🙂

PICTUS 1.1.5
So glad I found this image viewer. Had been using the superb but highly unknown Bmap image viewer prior to this for almost all image formats, as it was exactly the type of no-nonsense viewer Ilove.

PICTUS 1.5.0 RELEASEDNovember 13th, 2015
Pictus 1.5.0 have just been released with both new features and a lot of stability improvements. Further, the “resize window to image” function have received some optimizations and should now feel snappier. The biggest improvements though are invisible. Pictus have been now been subjected to weeks of automated testing which have uncovered quite a few nasty crashes when loading images. Some of these crashes may have been exploitable, so the upgrade is highly recommended from a security perspective. PICTUS 1.4.0 RELEASEDOctober 7th, 2015
