AWESOME ADVENTURE BOOKS FOR 9-12 YEAR OLDS Awesome Adventure Books for 9-12 Year Olds. It was Harry Potter that started the obsession with fantastical adventurous stories at our house. FLOATING CHALK PRINTS Once you are happy with the amount of chalk floating on the water, take a piece of paper and gently place it onto the surface of the water. Use your finger tips to press the paper gently onto the top of the water. After a minute or so gently lift the paper off the top of the water to reveal your beautiful floating chalk print! LEMON MERINGUE SLICE Instructions. Preheat your oven to 180 C and line a 20x30cm slice tray with baking paper, Add the flour, icing sugar, butter and water to the bowl of your food processor and pulse until they come together.. Press the mixture into the bottom of the your slice tray and bake for 15 LEMON AND RHUBARB COOKIES Instructions. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Chop the rhubarb into small pieces and place into a small bowl. Add the extra 1/2 table spoon of sugar, the lemon zest (use more or less depending on how lemony you like your cookies), and lemon juice to the chopped rhubarb, mix well and allow to sit for a little while. GARDENING AND GROWING These garden playdough mats are perfect for garden loving kids! My kids love gardening. There are lots of great, easy veggies to grow with kids, and fun things to do in the garden, but some days it’s really not gardening weather. We wanted to go and do some gardening today, but it has been rainy and cold here, and the veggie garden is amuddy mess.
