STOCKING YOUR HEALTHY KITCHEN Fatigue is a common side effect of cancer and cancer treatment, but simple dietary changes can help to reduce tiredness and improve our energy, vibrancy and sense of wellbeing. Written by our Medical Director, Catherine Zollman, together with Axel Walther, Helen E. Seers, Rachel C Joliffe and Marie J Polley, it was recently published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute (JNCI Volume 2017, Issue 52 November2017).
ORANGE AND DATE OATY SLICES Sift the spelt and baking powder into a bowl. Combine with the other ingredients. Place the mixture into a greased and lined 7” square baking tin – or a larger one for a thinner slice. Bake at 170oc for 30 minutes until lightly browned on top.
