Our efforts have contributed to over 42,000 incentive payments disbursed to almost 19,000 healthcare providers across New York State, totaling over $1 billion EHRincentive

The SHIN-NY is the Statewide Health Information Network for New York.In partnership with the New York State Department of Health, NYeC developed and manages the technology platform that connects the Qualified Entities (QEs) and enables the sharing of data statewide, ensuring that the SHIN-NY provides access to a patient’s electronic medical records wherever and whenever they need it. NY CARE INFORMATION GATEWAY (NYCIG) Effective March 16, 2020, NY Care Information Gateway (NYCIG) and Healthix are a merged organization, retaining the Healthix name. The merger further increases Healthix’ capacity to serve the healthcare community across New York City, Long Island and New York State. Previously, in May 2015, Interboro RHIO and e-Health Network of Long Island have combined operationsHIE ADOPTION
This program is designed to help defray the cost for an organization when connecting to their local QE. New York eHealth Collaborative is coordinating the rollout of the program and the incentive payments on behalf of the State Department of Health. Limited funding is available, and this program is operated on a first-come, first-servedbasis.

SHIN-NY Services. All Qualified Entities (QEs) are required to offer free basic services to their participants. Of the services listed below, Clinical Event Notifications (Alerts), Patient Record Lookup, and Secure Messaging have been implemented on a statewide basis.
