LOGGING MUSEUM IN MINERAL CONTINUES CAMP 6 LEGACY The fifth cabin from Camp 6 was previously used by St. Regis Paper at a logging camp on Lake Kapowsin. “There was a time when St. Regis Paper owned practically all the logging in this area,” Wise said. To complete the logging museum at Mineral, Wise requested a sixth cabin from West Fork Timber Company, which is located adjacent to themuseum.

Located in the small town of Elbe in beautiful Washington State is a heritage railroad south of Mount Rainier National Park. Passengers enjoy train rides through the forest and across the glacial fed Upper Nisqually River to a museum located in Mineral, Washington. Museum exhibits explore a comprehensive collection of steam logging locomotives and discover the stories behind the pioneers of railroad logging camps in the early to mid 1900’s.
