Spacke Machine Co., Indiana USA, was widely used in Australia in the 1916 - 1920 period, not just by Healings and the smaller "manufacturers" they supplied, but also by Hercules and others. Of course the motor was also used in a number of US makes, such as Dayton, Crawford, Eagle and De Luxe (no relation to DUCATI CLASSIC MOTORCYCLES Ducati Classic Motorcycles. In the 1960s, Ducati earned its place in motorcycling history by producing the then fastest 250 cc road bike available, the Mach 1.In the 1970s Ducati began producing large-displacement L-twin (i.e. a 90° V-twin) motorcycles and in 1973 released an L-twin with the trademarked desmodromic valve design. Raleigh, who had reneged on an agreement to manufacture the Moulton, were stunned by its success and in July 1965 launched their response - the balloon-tyred RSW16 (Raleigh Small Wheels 16" diameter). CWS, the Co-operative Wholesale Society YAMAHA RD YPVS TUNING The carbs, pipes & ignition are the biggest restrictive on any LC or YPVS. The best standard carbs are the FI YPVS 26mm's. TZR or RD 400 E 28mm's are more then adequate for most road tuned bikes. TZ 36mm power-jet carbs are my choice for a fully tuned YPVS's. Skimming the head raises the compression and does improve performance even on a KAWASAKI CLASSIC MOTORCYCLES Kawasaki Classic Motorcycles. Kawasaki's Aircraft Company began the development of a motorcycle engine in 1949. HONDA CB400N ROAD TEST Honda's three-valve-per-cylinder layout, pioneered on the Civic car engine, is still retained, and the engine breathes through two 32mm Keihin constant vacuum carburettors to give a claimed 43bhp at 9,500rpm and 24.5ft-lb of torque 1,500rpm lower down the scale. CWS, the Co-operative Wholesale Society YAMAHA RD YPVS TUNING The carbs, pipes & ignition are the biggest restrictive on any LC or YPVS. The best standard carbs are the FI YPVS 26mm's. TZR or RD 400 E 28mm's are more then adequate for most road tuned bikes. TZ 36mm power-jet carbs are my choice for a fully tuned YPVS's.
