If you come to the sanctuary by car, the Montserrat Mountain Trust provides attended car parking at rates laid down annually by the Catalan Parliament. This fee pays for the car park attendant service and also serves to fund other services: lighting, cleaning, gardening work and maintenance of the natural park.WHERE TO EAT
The Restaurant Montserrat opened on the ground floor of the Mirador dels Apòstols building in 1976. The building, designed by Father Pere Busquets, commands superb panoramic views over the mountain, the Santa Cova (Holy Grotto) and the Llobregat Valley. This spacious restaurant enables you to enjoy excellent value Mediterranean cuisine in the company of family and friends. CULTURE - MONTSERRAT VISITA The library as it stands today was founded in the late19th century and grew particularly under the abbacy of Father Antoni M. Marcet (1913-1946) when, in just a few years, the library’s collections rose from 15,000 volumes to around 150,000.
