School Clubs. There are 2 school clubs in the Katonah-Lewisboro School District . Students for KEEP. In 2012, Susannah Rogers was a KEEP penpal, but she wanted to do more to help these girls a half a world away who were her age and younger.ALMOST THERE!

Many of you have asked how the girls at the Kakenya Center for Excellence are doing. Here’s an update as well as an exciting opportunity to help. WE DID IT! – KEEP: KATONAH EDUCATION EXCHANGE PROGRAM Hurrah!! We did it!! Because of your generosity, boosted by the matching grant, every eighth grade girl at the Kakenya Center for Excellence will receive a solar light and a solar radio! Thank you for your amazing response to our appeal! Your outpouring of kindness and compassion touched us deeply. India Project. From 2011 to 2014, KEEP partnered with Apne Aap (“self help” in Hindi), a non-profit dedicated to ending sex trafficking in India. EDUCATION EXCHANGE IS A REALITY! Four of our KEEP-supported eighth grade students from the Kakenya Center for Excellence had an extraordinary visit to the U.S. last month! When these girls traveled from Kenya to attend the Montessori Model United Nations Conference in New York City, they made history: This was the first time that participants in this international conference came from an African nation! KCE GIRLS VISIT THE US For the second straight year, four eighth-grade KCE girls participated in the Montessori Model United Nations conference in New York City from February 13-16. SHARING KEEP’S MISSION IN BYRAM HILLS On May 3rd, KEEP board members Ruthie Rosenberg and Cynthia Braun presented KEEP’s work to freshmen at Byram Hills High School as part of the VOX Summit, a conference designed to introduce students to ways they can make a difference in both their local community and aroundthe world.
