RECIPES - INSTAPOTTIN' WITH POONAM ABOUT ME. Hi, I'm Poonam. I love to share my Instant Pot creations with you in the hopes to help you save time in the kitchen while making healthy, flavorful meals. VEGETARIAN TORTILLA SOUP Press MANUAL/PRESSURE COOK on the Instant Pot (HIGH pressure) Set timer to 15 minutes. Once the timer goes off, allow steam to release naturally for 10 minutes (NR) Open the vent and allow any additional steam to release. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. Carefully open thelid.
FALAFEL - INSTAPOTTIN' WITH POONAM Mix well and set aside. After 3 minutes, remove the falafel from the paniyaram pan. Assemble the falafel: Cut pita pocket in half. Spread tzatziki sauce on the inside of the pita. Break the falafel in half and layer inside of pita. Add lettuce and tomato. Add falafel. Add tzatziki sauce and sambal for spice (optional) CHICKEN BIRYANI IN THE INSTANT POT Add the sliced onions. Allow to saute for 3-4 minutes until caramelized. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. Remove the onions to a clean dish and set aside. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the Instant Pot. Add the chicken with the marinade and stir. Add 2 tablespoons water and stir. Close and lock the lid on the Instant Pot. BOBA (BUBBLE TEA) IN THE INSTANT POT Instructions. Add the dry boba pearls into the Instant Pot. Add 2 cups water. Close and lock the lid on the Instant Pot. Turn the vent to sealing to prevent steam from escaping. Turn on the Instant Pot to “PRESSURE COOK” mode (“MANUAL” for 6 and 8 qt pot) Set timer to 1 minute. During this time, you can prepare your tea. TOMATO BASIL PESTO RISOTTO Turn on InstantPot to SAUTE mode. Add oil and butter to pot. Add onions and stir well. Add arborio rice and allow to toast for 3-5 minutes or until fragrant. Add vegetable stock. Add pesto and salt and stir well. Close the InstantPot lid. Turn vent on the lid to CLOSE VENT to prevent steam from escaping. Set pot to MANUAL mode. CHOLE - SPICED CHICKPEA CURRY - INSTAPOTTIN' WITH POONAM Add chickpeas/garbanzo beans and Chole/Chana masala powder to the gravy. Mix together the ingredients to incorporate the flavors. Place lid on pot and lock. Turn vent on lid to CLOSE VENT. Press MANUAL on the Instant Pot (high pressure) Set timer to 5 minutes. After timer goes off, allow Instant Pot to rest for 2-3 minutes. RAJMA (RED KIDNEY BEAN CURRY) IN THE INSTANT POT Allow to saute for 2 minutes. Add the garlic, ginger, green chilies, coriander powder, salt and tomatoes. Stir well and allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Add in the cooked drained kidney beans. Add 1.5 cups water (more or less depending on your preference of gravy thickness) Simmer for 5-7 minutes. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. SEV USAL (DRIED GREEN PEA CURRY STREET FOOD) Add hing (asafoetida), cinnamon sticks and cloves. Add remaining ingredients: onion, tomato, peas, lal mirchu (cayenne), garam masala, salt, ginger. Stir well. Add water to the mixture-just enough to cover the peas mixture by no more than ½ an inch. Mix all ingredientsthoroughly again.

Once the timer goes off, allow steam to release naturally for 10 minutes (NR) Open the vent and allow any additional steam to release. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. Carefully open thelid.
BOBA (BUBBLE TEA) IN THE INSTANT POT Instructions. Add the dry boba pearls into the Instant Pot. Add 2 cups water. Close and lock the lid on the Instant Pot. Turn the vent to sealing to prevent steam from escaping. Turn on the Instant Pot to “PRESSURE COOK” mode (“MANUAL” for 6 and 8 qt pot) Set timer to 1 minute. ABOUT - INSTAPOTTIN' WITH POONAM We have an amazing Instapottin’ team. Tune in to our channel and you will find recipes, which once took you hours to make, can be completed in less than an hour. It also proves that anyone can do the cooking, moms, wives, husbands, high school/college students, and even the young kiddos can get in the kitchen! FRIED RICE IN THE INSTANT POT Wait until the display reads “HOT”. Add the butter and sesame oil to the pot. Add the onions and allow to saute for 3 minutes. Add garlic and stir well. Add the beaten eggs. Stir the eggs and allow to cook. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. Add in the rice, regular and sweet soy sauce, sriracha, seasoning, peas and carrots and the broth.VERY VEGGIE PASTA

EGGPLANT NU SHAAK IN THE INSTANT POT (EGGPLANT & POTATO Instructions. Turn on the Instant Pot to SAUTE mode. Wait until the Instant Pot display reads “HOT”. Add oil to the steel pot. Add the hing (asafoetida) to the oil. Allow to sizzle for 30 seconds. Add in the tomatoes and mix well. Allow to saute for 1 min. Add in the eggplant, potatoes, all seasonings and spices except for the cilantro. SABUDANA KHICHDI IN THE INSTANT POT Using oven mitts, remove the large Instant Pot steel pot and pour out the water. Dry the steel pot using a towel and place into the Instant Pot base. Turn on the Instant Pot to SAUTE mode. Wait until the Instant Pot display reads “HOT”. Add coconut oil to the steel pot. Add ghee to the steel pot. BOILED PEANUTS IN THE INSTANT POT After, 15 minutes, turn the vent on top of the lid to venting to release the steam (QR) BE CAREFUL OF THE HOT STEAM & LIQUID. Press CANCEL on the Instant Pot. Carefully open the lid. Using oven mitts, remove the plate/dish on top of the peanuts. RAVAIYA (STUFFED INDIAN EGGPLANT) Turn on InstantPot to SAUTE mode. Add 2 tablespoons oil and allow to heat- the oil will thin out and disperse to the edges. Add hing (asafoetida) and allow to cook for 30 seconds.
