EARSHOT ARCHIVES AT SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY The Earshot Jazz Collection is a collaborative effort by Earshot Jazz and The Seattle Public Library to digitize the full back-run of Earshot Jazz magazine.The collection is searchable and browseable, and includes over 20,000 unique index terms. EARSHOT JAZZ LIVESTREAM SERIES AT THE ROYAL ROOM Josh Hou by Rosanna Sze. Josh Hou is an accordionist, keyboardist, and composer who explores multiple musical genres including Chinese jazz, swing, and funk. Two of his projects include How Short, a swing band with vocal harmonies and the Tiny Funk Band. A recent Golden Ear Award-winner as founder and co-host of the podcast series Jazztalk Seattle, Hou is adamant about IN MEMORIAM: WALT TIANEN In Memoriam, March 2020. Seattle trumpet player Walt Tianen, who died January 4 at the age of 91, enjoyed a long and lively career that took him across several continents as well as through many of the high points of Seattle jazz history.
