The Charles and Ray Eames House Preservation Foundation, Inc. was established in 2004 in order to preserve and protect the Eames House and to provide educational experiences that celebrate the creative legacy of Charles and Ray Eames. THE TRIAD, CASE STUDY APARTMENTS NO. 1 The following is from Ned Sawyer, a former resident of Case Study Apartments No. 1 designed by Al Beadle in Phoenix. The Triad was one of the only Arts and Architecture Case Study program projects built in Arizona. “I had the pleasure of working with Alfred N. Beadle Architect for over ten years and that experience has definitely influenced my architecture. EIGHT BOOKS ON CHARLES AND RAY’S BOOKSHELF THAT ALLUDE TO Shortly after the Eames Storage Unit was designed in 1950, a customized bookshelf appeared in photographs of the Eames House living room. The bookshelf looked uncannily similar to the ESU, however, the piece was double-sided, oversized, and sported anodized aluminum structural supports.
