HOW A SELF-CARE MIND MAP CAN CHANGE YOUR ROUTINE This new perspective on self-care can look like: Committing to move your body everyday. Waking up 10 minutes earlier and implement a morning ritual. Setting a weekly intention. Connecting with your breath or meditating. Allowing time in your day to have nothing scheduled. Flossing your teeth every night. Preparing healthy meals. WHAT TO DO IF YOUR NIPPLES ARE BLEEDING Nurse more frequently to avoid a ferociously hungry baby. Be sure to break the seal of the latch when feeding is finished by inserting your finger into the corner of baby’s mouth. Use breathable cotton breast pads and change them frequently. I enjoyed my time with birthfit small group training. As a first time mom, there was so much that I didn't know, and wouldn't have without the support of Birthfit. The intimate group classes made you feel connected, supported, and that you had a network of women to support you through this new journey of life!L.W.
Just wanted to let you know that your advice and recommendations to do good mornings, & to take it really slow worked fast and well for me! A week later I was able to test my side lunges and there was no pain. I also can do all the functional movements without any pain!! I can tell there’s still a lot of healing going on and strengthening left to do, but I feel much better already. Can’t say it enough for all BIRTHFIT does & means to me; as there are not many people out there that empower moms (especially pregnant moms) and encourage them to be strong and support the fact that contrary to popular belief; we are pregnant, not disabled. THANK YOU!!!Christina K.
I am so happy that I chose to participate in the Small Group Coaching with BirthFit. It was great to be able to learn more about the why's behind the programming I am following and have the opportunity to learn and ask questions. I appreciated the time spent on going over birth/postpartum prep as well. Especially during this time of social distancing and reduced or quick appointments, I feel many of these conversations and questions could be overlooked. I am grateful to now have this information to explore further. Leah was wonderful, extremely attentive to the participants and made herself very available to assist both on our calls and off. Highly recommend!Genevieve
Before I gave birth to my daughter exercising was easy. I was an avid runner. I liked to box, lift weights, and go to Pure Barre. Pregnancy kicked my ass. Even though I was fit I wasn’t prepared for the energy drain that growing a baby took. I started to work out less and less. At the end of my pregnancy I was on bed rest for preeclampsia. After my daughter was born I was tasked with getting fit again. I had no idea where to start beyond walking. BIRTHFIT really helped me a lot. Not only did it help me slowly get moving, but moving with purpose. I was also able to talk about emotional mommy things like my birth story and breastfeeding. After just a couple of workouts I felt strong again and that was a really empowering feeling for me. I don’t want to just have my prebaby body back; I want to be strong, fit, and able in order to be good role model for my daughter. BIRTHFIT was the foundation to getting back into my exercising groove.Jessica S.
When I found out I was expecting I was in quarantine alone at my house as my fiancé was admitted to the hospital with Covid. I was in shock and scared and reached out to Birthfit for some guidance and help. They quickly responded. After looking into the site and what they had to offer I decided to do the small group coaching and am so glad I did. I have had my questions answered and know what to get prepared and start thinking about on this journey. My fiancé has since been released from the hospital so we can make plans together on next steps and what we want pregnancy to look like. I am so glad I joined the BF community and look forward to learning more as I continue on thisjourney.
