Glebe Youth Service is a non-government orginisation dedicated to the support of young people aged 12-24 who live, work, study and play inthe Glebe Area.
WHAT’S ON!
What’s On! GYS is navigating through a complex 2020 with the Glebe Community. COVID-19 has meant GYS has had to be flexible in their service delivery to continue to support the youth of Glebe. It is truly challenging for an organisation like GYS whose OUR CURRENT PROGRAMS Our Current Programs. Due to the challenges currently faced by COVID 19, GYS has had to change the way they deliver programs to the Youth of Glebe. Please contact us to find out more about our current timetable. And read more about each program here! ABOUT US - GLEBE YOUTH To provide community services for young people to reduce the effects of being disadvantaged. To assist individuals and groups of young people to access appropriate resources effectively and take action to meet their needs. To encourage youth to participate in planning and developing all activities of GYS. To inform, educate and resource the SUPPORTING GLEBE’S YOUNG PEOPLE AND VULNERABLE COMMUNITY As an essential service to the community GYS is fundraising to provide food relief for those in need in Glebe as a result of the impacts of COVID-19. We hope to do this in the following two ways: Putting together essential food and household supply packages to be distributed to those at risk and in need. The approximate cost foreach package is

This role would involve a volunteer driving a GoGet hire van from Glebe to collect produce from Penrith and Broadway before dropping produce off to Glebe Youth Service and then returning the van to a nearby street. A volunteer is required every Thursday from 9.30am to around 1.30pm. This position can be filled by a single volunteer, a pair of volunteers or a rotating roster of volunteers. BOYZONE - GLEBEYOUTH.ORG.AU This program aims to engage with teens in the Glebe area to provide them with support with increase their capacity to articulate and develop personal goals. Through positive mentoring and role modelling we will introduce a range of topics from health and fitness, to sexual education, health, the law, respectful relationships and managingemotions.

Food Circle is Glebe Youth Service's family food assistance program that sees local families receive a bag of fresh produce and other staples every Thursday. Food Circle aims improve the capacity of parents/carers to provide healthy choices to their families by maximising their access to nutritious food. The program also provides opportunities for families to developVOLUNTEER WITH US
This role would involve a volunteer driving a GoGet hire van from Glebe to collect produce from Penrith and Broadway before dropping produce off to Glebe Youth Service and then returning the van to a nearby street. A volunteer is required every Thursday from 9.30am to around 1.30pm. This position can be filled by a single volunteer, a pair of volunteers or a rotating roster of volunteers.OUR SUPPORTERS
