OSHLUN OR FESTOOL BLADES? Posted on February 20th, 2020 by Ryan Filed under: Power Tools I use my Festool TS 55 track saw just about every day. It came with a general purpose 48-tooth blade that makes fantastically clean cuts and lasts a reasonable amount of time. It does, however, eventually get dull and need resharpening/replacement. They cost $84 each. Read the rest of this entry » (21) Comments on the forum TOOLPAC SOLDERING IRON Posted on February 1st, 2020 by Ryan Filed under: Hand Tools This is not a paid endorsement. I don’t know anyone involved with this thing and paid for it my damned self… But man, is this thinggreat.
A few months ago, I was building a keyboard and a friend suggested that I pick up one of these tiny little soldering irons. I looked at it on Amazon, thought it looked like a toy and moved on. Then, I started noticing a lot of people recommending them. Finally, I succumbed to the peer pressure. This is the best soldering iron I’ve ever used. It feels like a pen in the hand, gets to temperature quickly, and gets to temperature accurately. It’s literally the best soldering iron I’ve ever used.Check it out

Well… That’s a wrap on the BF/MFT workbench build. I literally couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. In fact, it’s kind of changed the way I’ve worked in the shop and hopefully you’ll see that in upcoming videos. As for plans, I am doing my best to get something together for those that are interested. Give me a week and keep your eyes on this post for further developments. I only thought this was gonna be a two part series. It’s actually gonna be a four-parter… In part 3, I go over the basics of setting up the guide rail and fence along with powering the bench for a vintage task light I found. The fourth and final installment (I promise) will probably be the most exciting of the bunch – going over functionality, accessories, etc…So, see ya then…
