MAKE YOUR OWN 127 FILM FROM A ROLL OF 120!! EASY PEASY Next you have to rewind onto a 127 spool, I carefully removed the "new127" film and then re-wound back on to the 127 spool. If anyone needs pictures of the "contraption" just let me know! hope this is helpful.Attached is an image from the Yashica 44 using cut down TMAX to 127 size. pineconeart.jpg (121.08 kB, 750x750 - viewed 792 times.) REVIEW : MIRANDA D SLR At a glance: shutter speeds from 1 second to 1/500. Revolving shutter dial, and slow speeds on a separate lever. Lever wind, interchangeable viewfinders and lenses. Miranda's big claim to fame at the time was the short back-focus distance which allowed their cameras to use every other SLR system's lenses with the proper adapter. USING INSTAX MINI IN A ROLLEIFLEX Should be cake in a Century Graphic with plate holders too, yeah? I think either a 6x9 box or folder that used plates could be fun, too, but fascinated that there was a plate back for the Rollei. ROLLEI RETRO 80S RECIPROCITY FAILURE Now that I'm done converting my Kodak Brownie 127 into a pinhole camera (thanks Diane for the camera and Mauricio for the inspiration with your Cresta conversion) I've ordered a few rolls of Rollei Retro 80S in 127 format to test it out. I think either a 6x9 box or folder that used plates could be fun, too, but fascinated that there was a plate back for the Rollei. INSTAX PROCESSING WITH POLAROID ROLLERS? I'm thinking of shooting some Instax in my pocket Graflex (2x3), but I don't have an Instax camera for processing the film afterwards. REVIEW : MIRANDA D SLR New to this forum, what better way to break the ice than ramble about my current favorite camera: The 1960 Miranda D SLR. I've always wanted a Miranda, but so little info was available about these cameras that I never wanted to fork over dough for one. MAKE YOUR OWN 127 FILM FROM A ROLL OF 120!! EASY PEASY I wanted some 127 film for my Yashica 44 and Bencicni camera but coudn't find any in my stash so I kept thinking I had heard of people cutting down film..the articles I had read didn't seem all that easy but I had seen this gizmo and thought there must be a way to use it for film related adventures. ANYONE USED THE CYANOTYPE REX PROCESS? I use FAC in the traditional formula. Some papers may be better pre socked in a 4% solution of oxalic acid - buy this the agwoodcare off the internet much cheaper than silverprint et al - I use Arches Platine which does not need to be pre treated. JOBO 2830 & 4X5 FILM As I am in a way responsible for your ownership of the jobo drum, I'd better chime in.. I am not aware of any reasonable way to use the 4x5 film in these drums other then the 4206 Formathalter or a DIY copy (now, sitting at our kitchen table the thin plastic place-mat with some plastic pins to hold the film might be the option. USING INSTAX MINI IN A ROLLEIFLEX Should be cake in a Century Graphic with plate holders too, yeah? MIXING END OF BOTTLE DEVELOPERS I'm fairly new to developing, but found myself with a couple of 'end of bottle' ml of Silvermax and Paranol S. There wasn't enough of either to make up 300ml, but enough if used together to develop a roll of FP4+ "nothing important"and it seems to have come out fine judging from the look of the negatives (maybe a little more contrast thanexpected).
SALT FIX - FILMWASTERS.COM beyond cool! Is a salt fixer archival? That always been my concern with using it. One of the reasons I began using caffenol a few years back was because of the easy availability of the ingredients and that it leaves a little bit of stain on the negs and developed prints. INTERESTING CAMERA NR. 35 Though I must admit the 24 exposures are much more comfortable than only 12 It's just that I never had a camera in which the 220 stuff can be used and I read that many cameras that have a switch (particularly the Russian ones) to go from one to the other will permanently screw up the film spacing if you use them don't know why but that's what Iread years ago.
ILFORD DELTA 100 VS FP4+ I think in general T-grain emulsions have a flatter response curve with less toe and shoulder. Some people don't like that 'flatness', but I find it very appealing and like shooting Delta 100 and T-Max. LET'S SEE SOME BIKES! Oh now you've gone and done it. Parked bikes are one of my favorite themes I have a Facebook album specifically for parked bikes, which is where I'm going to hotlink these pictures from, so let me know if you can't see them. Facebook album here (trigger warning: some digitalcontent )
