VASCULAR INFUSION SYSTEMS Utilise a linear peristaltic action or piston cassette pump insert to control the prescribed infusion volume. They are used to accurately administer intravascular drugs, fluids, whole blood and blood products. And can administer up to 1,000ml of fluid (normally from a bag or bottle) at flow rates of 0.1 to 1,000ml/hr. RISK BASED MAINTENANCE DECISIONS The risk decisions of the EBME manager are very important and need to be pragmatic. We have limited budgets and resources. Some EBME departments 'over maintain' equipment. There are still EBME staff routinely stripping down equipment and carrying out unnecessary testing. This dates back to the 1970's when most medical equipment wasof analogue
