REGENCY PEARL 5 STONE RING C.1820 An elegant late Georgian pearl ring. This wonderful ring has 5 natural pearls set in a classic design. The shoulders are beautifully figured with a finely scrolled floral design which is echoed in engraving around the shank. In common with the late Regency period the ring is closed to the reverse and low set to the hand. We believe the pearls are original to the ring and are a warm ivory GEORGE II SILVER SUGAR CASTER 1740 SAMUEL WOOD OF LONDON A very good early George II period sugar caster made in London in 1740 by the specialist caster maker Samuel Wood.The caster bears the fine original crest of the owner and underneath the foot are betrothal initials indicating it was probably a wedding present for a couple that year.The top of the caster which is beautifully hand pierced is surmounted by a bell shaped finial .
