Due to a rising COVID-19 infection rate in the City, the majority of Boston Public Schools students are taking part in remote learning.Reopening in Boston
The City of Boston is in Step 1 of Phase 3 of the state's COVID-19 reopening plan. We continue to update City-specific guidance on ourreopening website.
Status of City departments City Hall is only open to the public on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you need to visit City Hall, you must make an appointment. State reopening guidance The state recently announced a revised stay-at-home advisory, an earlier closure of businesses at night, and an updated order restricting gatherings. COVID-19 testing sites Testing is free, regardless of insurance or immigration status. Please call ahead before visiting a location. Meal sites for youth We're providing free breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday,across the City.

Residents with a valid resident parking permit sticker can park in a metered or two-hour parking space in their neighborhood without having to adhere to the time limit, or pay a meter fee.Street Cleaning
