Armani/Silos is a living, open-to-the-public space that illustrates Giorgio Armani’s professional experience by offering an overview of the designer’s career via some of his most memorable works, revealing a rich heritage of unique know-how: a space in which to design the future while capturing the changing times, lifestyles and cultures. The exhibition showcased two collections of images, The Beats and The Vanities, displayed together for the first time and comprising 125 original black and white photographs.Part of the beat movement himself, Larry Fink perfectly portrayed the sense of romance and rebellion that characterized the underground jazz-fueled youth movement of the time.ITALIAN PANORAMA

In conjunction with Milano Arch Week 2019, Armani/Silos launched the About Future project in partnership with the Politecnico di Milano. This collective exhibition included around fifty of the most significant student-designed models developed and submitted for their final degree exam together with a few produced by young architecturegraduates.

This world of Giorgio Armani – probably less known but equally surprising – is expressed through the elegant and discreet language that is integral to his vision of fashion, creating items that complete and define the look without ever being overwhelming: accents of style that work like measured RACCONTI IMMAGINARI BY PAOLO VENTURA THE EXHIBITION ‘Racconti Immaginari’ (Immaginary Tales) is an anthology featuring over a hundred works – between photos, objects, set designs and installations – carefully selected by the eclectic photographer to represent his artistic evolution.GETTING HERE

A narrative journey showcasing the career of Ando through his most significant works; a retrospective that comprised over 50 projects and was structured around four major themes. The project, specially adapted for Armani/Silos, was designed by Tadao Ando in collaboration withCentre Pompidou.

Through this initiative, Giorgio Armani looks to support the next generation of screen talent entering the film industry.For the first edition of Armani/Laboratorio, held from November 27th to December 6th, 2017 at the Armani/Silos exhibition space in Milan, the short film “Una Giacca” (A Jacket) was created as a result of an intensive workshop dedicated to film students.
