Yup, that's how tarantula's clean themselves. Almost like a kitty cat, especially the fangs and mouthparts. As to the molt, I think it's hard to tell with a Rose. I,thankfully,do not have this problem, and will never happen, since gf collects T's as well But in case if it wasn't so,fascination with invertebrates has always been with me since young age,and has become part of my personality.NEW TO SULIFUGIDS
Much appreciated for the input By chance I heard you can keep them together? Just given their nature in pretty skeptical of that only reason I ask is by looks I’d assume this is a female? And I’m 99% positive I have a male as well at the shop. Wouldn’t even mind putting together another enclosure if I definitely don’t need the extreme side of the heat but if so I’d rather just keep HOW DO YOU INTRODUCE SPRINGTAILS TO A TERRARIUM Different people have different ways to introduce springtails e.g. Mix in substrate from colony into enclosure. If springtails are kept on charcoal, pick up the piece of charcoal and blow gently into the enclosure. Throw a piece of something (e.g. moss / charcoal) from the colony into the enclosure. Pour water into the colony and then pourthe
P. IRMINIA WHITE SPOTS They're most likely grain mites hitching a ride on your tarantula due to a lack of available food, they're not parasitic (unless you regularly buy WC tarantulas then you'll likely never encounter the parasitic mites that everyone cacks themselves over) and they're not harming your tarantula, don't try to forcibly remove them as you'll probably do more harm than good. DARKLING BEETLE GENDER? Darklings really don't care where they are or who's watching. They lay eggs in the soil and the young do best with more frequent moistening of the substrate than the adults need (still shouldn't be wet). They are very delicate at pupation and you should have around two inches of substrate so they can be comfortable. Sep 2, 2013. #3. HAPLOCLASTUS DEVAMATHA CARE? Hello folks! I'm just getting back into Ts after a long hiatus, and am planning what slings to pick up this Spring. Mostly I want to reacquire old favorites (avics, Hapalopus sp. Colombia, P. irminia), but my weakness to shiny spiders has me eyeing the H. devamatha as well. I'm used to the SILLY THINGS PEOPLE ASK YOU WHEN YOU OWN TARANTULA I don't want this to sound bitter, cause its not. Thought this might make an entertaining thread idea. Maybe it's been done before Probably. Oh well. One of the common ones for me tho is comparing my tarantulas to other pets. I'd get asked "why get SLING/JUVIE FEEDING SCHEDULE Hey y'all. That's right I said y'all. I'm from the south. Anyhow, I recently acquired a roughly 2 inch T. vagans that I bought some crickets for. The crickets are probably a hair on the smaller side. My question is this, is there any harm in feeding her every other day if she's willing to eat DOES A BLACKENED ABDOMEN ALWAYS MEAN PREMOLT? I have two slings that have very dark black spots on their abdomen. While I could have misread, the information I have found about premolt shows a blackened butt as a sign of premolt. Today, my N. Chromatus molted while I was at work. However, ANY TIPS ON TRAINING AN APHONOPELMA SEEMANNI FOR HANDLING Other than arboreals, pretty much yes (and even arboreals spend a lot of time in webbed up nooks and crannies of trees.) Staying in their burrow helps them avoid most predators and avoid the heat of the sun in hot climates, while still allowing them to eat by being ambush predators themselves.* __ Forums
