THE HIRSEL - HISTORIC HOUSES Opening Times. Admission. The Hirsel is a 500-acre park with lake and river. A spectacular rhododendron and azalea wood can be seen, along with daffodils in April. Edmondsham House is a charming blend of Tudor and Georgian architecture with interesting contents. The site features an organic walled garden, and 6 acre garden with unusual trees and spring bulbs. Trafalgar Park was originally built as Standlynch Park in 1733 as a Villa. Its North & South Wings were added in 1766; in 1813 the estate was gifted by Parliament to the heirs of Admiral, Viscount Nelson and renamed Trafalgar Park. Rodmarton Manor is a unique Arts and Crafts Manor House containing furniture made locally and with a stunning early 20th-century garden. The house and garden were designed for the Biddulph family by Ernest Barnsley, whilst his brother Sidney was the principle furniture maker. This house, although post Industrial Revolution was a return to COMBERMERE ABBEY CELEBRATES ITS HISTORY WITH NEW FILM This footage will also be used to promote the tours of Combermere Abbey, which are back for 2021 after being unable to go ahead last year. Upper Slaughter Manor is an Elizabethan Manor House with Jacobean porch and late 14th to early 15th century two-vaulted crypt. The gardens include a rose garden with a reconstructed 18th-century folly, a lake and a KINGSTON BAGPUIZE HOUSE Kingston Bagpuize House remains a family home. Surrounded by garden and parkland this beautiful early Georgian style house is in red brick with stone quoins, banding and window surrounds. The entrance hall is dominated by the handsome cantilever staircase. The HARTSHEATH - HISTORIC HOUSES The Hartsheath estate was owned by the Lloyd family in the early 18th century, and it was probably the Lloyds who were responsible for the first-known house on the site, probably built in 1702.
