First coined by Freud in 1895, the concept of transference was identified by Freud in psychoanalysis. Freud recognized that his patients transferred a “false connection” onto him without realising it consciously and without being able to control it. THE ARCHETYPES OF THE ANIMA AND ANIMUS The archetype of the Anima/Animus forms a bridge between our personal unconscious, our personal unconscious and what Jung refers to as the Collective Unconscious.
