Because there is no sewer system, wastewater is disposed of through septic tanksystems.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR BILL Current water availability assessments: $30 for parcels of 1 acre or less, plus $8 for each additional acre up to 5 acres or $7.50 for each acre over 5 acres, to a maximum of $1,200 per parcel. The water availability assessment is authorized by California Water Codes 31031.7 and 31032. Additional information is available in Resolution18-08.

LOCAL HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN Local Hazard Mitigation Plan. The District, with the help of Internal and External Committees, developed a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan to identify potential hazards to the District and formulate mitigation measures to ensure the future protection of the District’s infrastructure and the community’s safety in the event of acatastrophe.

A fee of $35.00 will be billed in addition to water used. Additional fees will be required to continue service beyond 12 calendar days. Please complete the Request for Clean and Show Form and fax it to 760-367-6612. Requests will be processed during regular businesshours.

The water availability assessment is authorized by California Water Codes 31031.7 and 31032. Additional information is available in Resolution18-08.
BENEFITS | TWENTYNINE PALMS WATER DISTRICT The District currently pays 100% of the monthly premium for the employee and 70% of all eligible dependents, with 30% dependent coverage currently paid by the employee. The District participates in the Association of California Water Agencies Benefits Program through Blue Cross (Health Maintenance Organization) or Prudent Buyer PlanClassic
WATER CONSERVATION TIPS In times of drought, water with a hose. Avoid washing down paved areas. Use a broom instead of a hose to clean driveways and sidewalks. This effort saves 150 gallons or more each time. When washing the car use a bucket of water. Use the hose only to rinse. Create your own water-wise landscape.GOVERNING BOARD

OUR DEMONSTRATION GARDEN Our Demonstration Garden. In 2012, the District completed a beautiful demonstration garden showcasing lush and efficient native plants. The garden is open to the public from 7:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday for self-guided tours.
