UK NATIONAL PARKS TEACHING RESOURCE The aim of this exciting new resource is to provide teachers with the background knowledge, materials and learning and teaching ideas to enable pupils to understand the importance of national parks in their lives now and in the future. It is particularly focused on upper Key Stage 2, but can be used and adapted for other teaching stages. NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK // THE NORTH YORK MOORS Welcome to the North York Moors. The North York Moors was established as National Park in 1952 – a treasured landscape in the heart of North Yorkshire, protected for everyone to enjoy.
