Selon les informations dévoilées par certains internautes, ce
sont des dommages à la piste d'atterrissage qui seraient en cause. Cayo Largo est une petite île paradisiaque située au sud-est de Cuba, où de nombreux touristes se rejoignent pour profiter des longues plages de sable. L'endroit est donc accessible via son aéroport ou en bateau et se situe à des dizaines de kilomètres de la terre ferme cubaine. PLUSIEURS CANADIENS QUI ONT DÉCIDÉ DE FUIR L'HIVER ET LE FROID AFIN DE SE PAVANER SUR LES PLAGES CUBAINES SONT PRÉSENTEMENT PRIS SUR L'ÎLE DE CAYO LARGO, ALORS QUE LE PETIT AÉROPORT DE VILO ACUÑA EST FERMÉ ET LE RESTERA JUSQU'AU 26 FÉVRIER. Plusieurs Canadiens qui ont décidé de fuir l'hiver et le froid afin de se pavaner sur les plages cubaines sont présentement coincés sur l'île de Cayo Largo,
alors que le petit aéroport de Vilo Acuña est fermé et le restera jusqu'au 26 février. C'est l'ambassade du Canada à Cuba qui en a fait l'annonce via soncompte Twitter .
Selon les informations dévoilées par certains internautes, ce
sont des dommages à la piste d'atterrissage qui seraient en cause. Cayo Largo est une petite île paradisiaque située au sud-est de Cuba, où de nombreux touristes se rejoignent pour profiter des longues plages de sable. L'endroit est donc accessible via son aéroport ou en bateau et se situe à des dizaines de kilomètres de la terre ferme cubaine. Si tu avais prévu un voyage à Cayo Largo dans la semaine à venir, tu devrais peut-être contacter ton agence de voyages et revoir tesplans.
L'ambassade du Canada à Cuba indique que les « Canadiens doivent contacter leur agence de voyage pour le transport maritime vers Cuba », où ils pourront être rapatriés. Les voyages en direction de Cayo Largo ou en provenance de l'île sontaussi annulés.
Ces derniers sont aussi invités à entrer en contact avec l'ambassade du Canada à Cuba, qui se trouve à la Havane, s'ils ont besoin d'aideconsulaire.
Des internautes se trouvant à Cayo Largo ont d'ailleurs partagé des informations à propos de la situation et la lettre qui leur a été envoyée par Air Transat. L'entreprise y indique être en train de travailler afin de transporter les voyageurs vers la Havane ou Varadero et ainsi, pouvoir les ramener à Toronto. Il semblerait d'ailleurs que des voyageurs italiens aient été évacués de l'île par bateau, selon cet utilisateur Twitter. Le transport aurait duré 4 heures.
