SEC APPROVES NASDAQ PRIMARY DIRECT LISTINGS On May 19, 2021, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved Nasdaq's proposal to allow companies to conduct primary direct listings on The Nasdaq Global Select Market. This approval comes nearly five months after the SEC approved a similar proposal by the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) (as discussed in our alert here).
