The ‘Timber’ Toolbox series comprises three websites – Timber Toolbox, Timber Plus Toolbox and Sustainable Timber Toolbox. Each website comprises a set of resources for training and assessing timber workers in competencies from the Forest and Forest Products Industry Training Package (FPI05). LEVEL 1 CHAINSAW OPERATION Duration and objectives. This Level 1 course is delivered over three days, comprising one day of theory and two days of hands-on operation. It provides detailed instruction on how to trim and crosscut felled trees, and deal with typical hazards encountered in a forest orbushland setting.

This is the most common way of drawing architectural plans. Note that the whole set of working drawings for a building are often called the 'plans'. To use a fire extinguisher: pull out the pin; squeeze the handle while aiming the hose at the fire; use a sweeping action to spray the substance back and forth across the fire, from front to back and from side to side. LEVEL 3 CHAINSAW OPERATION Duration and objectives. The duration of this Level 3 course is dependent on the participant's level of aptitude and experience. Note that participants should already be competent and experienced tree fallers at the intermediate level.. The objective of this course is to hone the specialist skills of the tree faller to enable them to handle problem trees safely and with expert judgement. BASIC AND INTERMEDIATE TREE FALLING (LEVEL 2 CHAINSAW Duration and objectives. This Level 2 course is delivered over three days. Where extra strength is needed, the top plate can be built up from two pieces of timber, such as two 90 x 35s to make a 90 x 70 top plate.
