Kratoshija is a variety of grape that has a long history in Macedonia. It’s believed that within Macedonia’s territory it has been grown since ancient times, when wine was poured in amphora and sent to the noblemen. Despite the fact that it was nearly extinct, the Kratoshija has survived and the wine makers have turned it into a top qualityWINES OF MACEDONIA
The Macedonian wine from Vranec variety has an intense, dark red colour. It exhibits a varietal and rich scent with aroma of ripe fruits. The taste is full, with gentle structure and harmony. The young wines have a light purple color, with an aroma of strawberry jam and wild berries and firm tannins structure with potential to ripe inoak barrels.

The Chateau Kamnik winery and its vineyards stretch out across 13 hectares of hills with exposition of the slopes to the south, and with excellent microclimatic conditions all year round. The story of Tikveš winery begins in 130 years ago, back in the year of 1885. It is the oldest and largest winery in South-East Europe. Popov Winery is a family owned winery situated in the heart of Tikves wine district. It is established in 2001 with a capacity of 150,000 liters and 5ha of grapevine plantations. Stanushina originates from the Tikves wine district where it is mostly widespread. Be¬fore the appearance of phylloxera, it was the main variety in this region and it characterized the sort of strong, red, Tikves wines. Despite in Tikves distict, it was also grown in Ohrid, Bitola and other wine districts in Macedonia, but in limited areas.WINES OF MACEDONIA
Temjanika has an average yield and the grapes are thick – skinned, medium sized with yellowy green skin and rusty spots on the sunny side. The clusters are compressed, medium in size with a cylindrical-conical shape. The juice is colorless with an intense Muscat aroma. Stanushina originates from the Tikves wine district where it is mostly widespread. Be¬fore the appearance of phylloxera, it was the main variety in this region and it characterized the sort of strong, red, Tikves wines. Tikves is the most well-known wine region in Macedonia. It is located in the very heart of the country and stretches along similar latitudes as the Bordeaux region in France, Tuscany region in Italy and the Napa Valley region in California. The Macedonian wine from Vranec variety has an intense, dark red colour. It exhibits a varietal and rich scent with aroma of ripe fruits. The taste is full, with gentle structure and harmony. The young wines have a light purple color, with an aroma of strawberry jam and wild berries and firm tannins structure with potential to ripe inoak barrels.

Temjanika has an average yield and the grapes are thick – skinned, medium sized with yellowy green skin and rusty spots on the sunny side. The clusters are compressed, medium in size with a cylindrical-conical shape. The juice is colorless with an intense Muscat aroma.
