Grape production is valued at over $6.5 billion. 36% of the value of non-citrus fruit grown in the US are from grapes. US has nearly one million acres of grape-bearing land (wine, table grapes, and raisins) Over 7,500,000 tons of grapes were produced in the US in 2018. ASSOCIATION MEMBERSHIP Grassroots Support: facilitate inter- and intra-state communication and assist with strengthening individual associations. Dues are based on the number of members in an association. $ 600 minimum for associations with 50 members and less. $ 12 per member for associations with over 50 members. On Friday, December 22, 2017 President Donald Trump signed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act into law. The bill was a sweeping overhaul of the United States Tax Code and features the first reform of federal alcohol excise tax since 1991. TTB ISSUES GUIDELINES FOR ELIMINATION OF BOND REQUIREMENT 11.8.2016. The TTB has issued initial guidelines for the elimination of the bond requirement for certain alcohol producers. As part of the Fiscal Year 2016 Omnibus Appropriations Bill, wine producers that are expected to pay $50,000 or less in federal excise taxes in a year will be exempt from the federal bond requirement.WINEAMERICA
