Find out more about self-management tips to help you manage your pain at home. If you’re living with arthritis, or know somebody who would benefit from our support, we’re here whenever you need us. EXERCISES FOR THE HIPS These exercises are helpful for problems and pain affecting the hips. Remember to drink water while you're exercising and make sure you have plenty of space around you to avoid injury. LET'S MOVE WITH LEON Let’s Move with Leon is a 12 week programme of 30-minute movement sessions, presented by fitness expert Leon Wormley. The Let’s Move with Leon classes are a holistic, full-body programme that will improve strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. EXERCISES FOR THE SHOULDERS Your elbows should be bent at waist height, just above your hips, with your arms and hands in line with your shoulders. Keeping your elbows in the same position at your sides, stretch the band to the furthest comfortable point and hold for a count of 10. Gently bring your hands back in line with your shoulders. Repeat this 10 times. BACK PAIN EXERCISE SHEET. Back pain Staying active is the most important thing you can do to recover from back pain. They’re also known as corticosteroids, and are different to anabolic steroids used by bodybuilders and athletes. Steroids won’t cure your condition, but they’re very good at reducing inflammation and will ease symptoms such as swelling, painand stiffness.
