* MEETUP ON FEBRUARY 16TH*
HEY!
It's been a while... The largest Canadian mechanical keyboard meetup is back! And it's about time. We had an outstanding time last year, and following the success of the previous meetup, we hope to provide an even better meet this time around. We ran a quick IC poll among previous attendees a few months back and have heard from you what worked well and what didn't. As always this will be an entirely community focused event; though we will be announcing sponsors over the next month and a half, all their contributions are put directly into your experience at themeetup.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! - 01/03/20 We're back — it's been a while. Registration is opening today. We're excited to announce we've secured a beautiful venue downtown with extraordinarily easy access for the roughly 150 expected attendees. We ran a quick IC poll among previous attendees a few months back and have heard from you what worked well and what didn't. As always this will be an entirely community focused event; though we will be announcing sponsors over the next month and a half, all their contributions are put directly into your experience at the meetup. Here's the key info: the meetup will be on FEBRUARY 16TH FROM 1:00 TO 4:00PM. Located only 2 minutes away from the Waterfront Skytrain Station, SFU'S SEGAL CENTRE (500 GRANVILLE ST) is an incredible venue surrounded by excellent food, and plenty of space for the 300+ keyboards we expect to see at the event. For the Seattle and out-of-town folk; the ease of access by transit means you don't have to worry about getting a place to stay further out of town, as inexpensive places like Burnaby or Richmond are only about 45-60 minutes away if you're near a train station. Keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks: we've got some extremely exciting door prizes as well as custom-made giveaways for you that we're excited to announce. Giveaway entry comes automatically with your ticket and will be done on-site at the end of the event. Everyone will also have the opportunity to display their keyboards and partake in the various freebies and activities that will be present at theevent.
In previous years we've allowed buying and selling, through listings in a public google form. With your feedback, we've decided to change up the system and move it to our discord. We will have a special #meetup-market channel available during the meetup to facilitatedeals.
Speaking of which; we've created a special discord for the Vancouver keyboard community. It's already 140 members strong and is meant to exist as a local forum even outside of large meetups. More frequent announcements and photos will be posted there. If the allure of getting to know the local mech community isn't enough incentive, discord community members are eligible to recieve a DISCOUNT ON TICKETS, so join away! . Thanks again for all the support and enthusiasm._— LovelyUncle_
