Frank Anthony “Tony” Smith is a long-time art teacher (now retired), having taught at the Salt Lake Art Center (now UMOCA), Wayne State University, the University of Washington, and the University of Utah. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Smith became one of the top illusionist artists working in the country. For Smith RAIVO PUUSEMP: DISSOLUTION Raivo Puusemp: Dissolution is the first comprehensive overview of Puusemp’s work produced between the mid-1960s and late 1970s. Puusemp is a conceptual artist who is interested in steering people into unwittingly completing his pieces by taking an action the artist had laid out as the next obvious step. Walking In Place is a site-specific installation consisting of found objects, strange artifacts, and other ephemera collected while in residence at the museum.
