Welcome to The Unapologetic Knitter - an online knitting pattern shop and blog! This is the best place to find information on new knitting patterns that I have designed such as brioche knitting patterns, sock knitting patterns, shawl knitting patterns and knitting video tutorials! It was my first time using Blue Moon Fiber Arts and I became an instant fan! The drape from the silk in the Polworth/Silk blend is pretty dang dreamy, and my oh my is it warm! PROJECT GAUGE. 32 sts and 46 rnds = 4” in stockinette stitch knit in the round, taken after blocking. NOTES. HOW TO: FIX DROPPED STITCHES IN BRIOCHE The first tutorial, the PLANNED tutorial, is how to pick up dropped stitches in brioche. I've gone with the two-color work knit flat since it shows the most contrast between the stitches, but the same rules apply to one color AND brioche knit in the round. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS To redistribute the stitches so that the beginning of round is at the right side of the instep, knit to the first marker on Needle 1 (N1). Remove this marker. This is the new beginning of round. Re-orient your needles so that the first set of stitches (this will vary based on size of sock being knit but is half of the total number of stitchesKALS & TUTORIALS

Here is a supplemental video about finishing the Ribbon Short Row Heel. There has been some confusion regarding finishing the heel while working the last unworked stitch on the right hand side of the heel (i.e.: where the instructions say "with the wrong side facing"). HOW TO: ONE COLOR BRIOCHE IN THE ROUND Much like brioche knit flat, we begin with a setup row, except it's a round. So unlike our samples which we used the first and last stitch as a selvedge edge stitch, we're going to work from the first stitch to the last stitch in the *k1, sl1yo* repeats. HOW TO: TWO COLOR BRIOCHE IN THE ROUND This is for all the peanuts. The whole shebang. The full wheelbarrow. The fully-loaded supreme pizza. This is what makes people sit up and take notice - two color brioche, in the round. And it's SO easy! The hardest part about preparing for this video tutorial was selecting the colors I was going tFALLING DOWN MKAL
And here's the count of the garter rows up the side of the flap starting from the leg side (the 14th row of garter is right up against the needle). To start picking up the stitches to create the gusset: 1) Locate the first bump adjacent to your live heel sts. Here is a supplemental video about finishing the Ribbon Short Row Heel. There has been some confusion regarding finishing the heel while working the last unworked stitch on the right hand side of the heel (i.e.: where the instructions say "with the wrong side facing"). So unlike our samples which we used the first and last stitch as a selvedge edge stitch, we're going to work from the first stitch to the last stitch in the *k1, sl1yo* repeats. TECH EDITING SERVICES HOW TO: TWO COLOR BRIOCHE, KNIT FLAT This won't be repeated again, it is only worked once. You'll knit this using color 1. Do not turn your work. Slide all the sts back to the right side of the needle to be worked again. Row 2 is also worked on the RS of the fabric so you'll need DPNs or a circular needle for this project. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS To redistribute the stitches so that the beginning of round is at the right side of the instep, knit to the first marker on Needle 1 (N1). Remove this marker. This is the new beginning of round. Re-orient your needles so that the first set of stitches (this will vary based on size of sock being knit but is half of the total number of stitchesKALS & TUTORIALS

THE RIBBON HEEL
Here is a supplemental video about finishing the Ribbon Short Row Heel. There has been some confusion regarding finishing the heel while working the last unworked stitch on the right hand side of the heel (i.e.: where the instructions say "with the wrong side facing").
