IN THE EXPANSE AFTER ME I’ve been thinking about mortality a lot lately, and I’m not entirely sure why. Such a strange year it’s been, a year of death, a year of the fear of that death,I AM FOR THE SPARKS
Right out beyond the pane, beyond the pain, there’s a fire burning. Funny how it’s only the contrast that shows it off, that gives it its glow. Flames in daylight seem like nothing at all, seem like waste of heat and fuel, flame in the pitch of midnight and it’s the savior, the monster killing bastion of hope. We sit in our dark homes and look across the darkness and see it, small as a THANK YOU + CHANGES COMING! This is a Signal Fire, and I’m so thrilled you’re here. How I will risk the mass exodus of those who do not believe that every human being should be allowed to love whom they wish to love, marry who they wish to marry, have children with whomever they wish to havechildren with.
HEAT IN FROM THE WEST Slow thing, Springtime. Slow enough to call it painful, excruciating even. What they don't tell you, is that there’s a Springtime to our soul, as well. The life I lived as a child, wandering from city to city following the boys of summer — my Dad’s baseball teams in minor league ballparks from Bakersfield to Kinston,Albuquerque

There’s a pressure to always be positive, to always be seen as happy, as excited in this life. Truth is, I oscillate and I feel no shame in this. Life is beautiful but it’s also tough sometimes, it’s entirely acceptable to feel the whole width of this. Happiness and sadness carry equal value and I think we’d be better off if we started treating it that way..
