WE ARE TMODLOADER
tModLoader is an API for Terraria that provides a way to create and load mods without having to work with Terraria's source code directly. This means you can easily make mods that are compatible with other mods and save yourself the trouble of having to decompile then recompile Terraria.exe. This also means players can use multiple mods at the same time without having to worry about compatibility issues. Traditionally most mods (standalone mods) that don't a sort of API like tModLoader to handle them, will be incompatible with each other. tModLoader is made to work for Terraria version 1.3 and above.WHAT WE CARE ABOUT
Our goal for tModLoader is to make it simple as possible to mod while giving the modder powerful control over the game. It is designed in a way as to minimize the effort required for us to update to future Terraria versions. If you either don't want to commit to this project or are not able to decompile Terraria, we are open to suggestions for hooks and/or modifications. HOW TO INSTALL TMODLOADER*
__ Setup vanilla terraria Currently, we only support Steam. Make sure you own Terraria on Steam, and install the vanilla game. You need to have ran the game at leastonce.
*
__ Download tModloader files Go to our releases page, and
download the version you want. Generally, you will just want thelatest version.
*
__ Locate your Terraria folder You need to browse to your Terraria folder in your explorer window. Usually this is located in C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Terraria but this location can change based on your installation. You can also do this via the Steam application. Find Terraria in your library, right click it and open the Properties window. Navigate to the 'Local files' tab and click 'Browse local files'*
__ Unblock the downloaded .zip Right click the downloaded .zip, and go to Properties. Make sure to hit unblock if it says so at the bottom. If this does not appear, close the window.
*
__ Extract the .zip
Extract the contents of the .zip to where you download it. You can use applications such as Peazip or 7zip to do this, Windows 10 should also be able to do this by itself.*
__ Copy the contents to the Terraria folder Now select all the extracted files and copy all of them to the Terraria folder you located. Make sure to let it overwrite files whenit asks.
HOW TO UNINSTALL TMODLOADER*
__ Verify integrity of game files View Steam's official instructions Locate Terraria in your Steam library, click it, and open the Properties window. Navigate to the Local files tab, and first click 'Browse local files...', in this folder, delete the ModCompile/ folder, tModLoader.exe file and tModLoaderServer.exe file, as well as the 'start-tModLoaderServer' .bat files. Close the explorer, and now click 'Verify integrity of game files' in the Local files tab.AMAZING TEAM
