The Ranger mascot is a symbol of white supremacy, said members of Somos la Gente, a student and faculty-led group from this college. STUDENTS COULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR SNAP BENEFITS, FIND OUT IF Under the rules of The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, SNAP eligibility expands to include students who are participating in state or federally financed work study. Students who also have an expected family contribution, or EFC, of zero in the current academic year and receive a maximum Pell Grant are considered eligible, as well. ALAMO PROMISE PAYS COLLEGE TUITION FOR QUALIFYING SENIORS With similar intentions, Alamo Promise was founded. This program helps graduating seniors from qualifying high schools with free tuition, said Ashley Blanco, certified enrollment coach in outreach & recruitment. Chancellor Mike Flores established the program with Mayor Ron Nirenberg October 2019, and the first class of students enrolledfor the
FEB. 15 DEADLINE TO PARTICIPATE IN MASCOT SURVEY To participate in the survey, go to Mascot Survey 1. Once the survey closes Feb. 15, the timeline for the selection of a new mascot is as follows: Feb. 15-28: The submissions will be reviewed by the committee to narrow the proposed mascots to a list of 10 finalists. March 1-31: A follow-up survey will be sent out with 10 finalists and COMPLETE POLICE REPORTS ARE IMPORTANT Legally, police need to ask permission before going through an individual’s personal belongings. Additionally, the only mention of the suspect in the police reports is that “an individual who matched that description” was identified. “The reporting party said he was not the individual that she saw.”. Then he was released back toclass.

STUDENTS COULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR SNAP BENEFITS, FIND OUT IF Under the rules of The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, SNAP eligibility expands to include students who are participating in state or federally financed work study. Students who also have an expected family contribution, or EFC, of zero in the current academic year and receive a maximum Pell Grant are considered eligible, as well.
