The PRS is UKALA’s appointed redress scheme for its agent members. If you are using an agent who is a UKALA member please contact them before raising a complaint with us to check the PRS are the agent’s redress scheme of choice. CONTACT US - THE PRS Contact Us. Tick to enable auto-renewal * The Property Redress Scheme 'Enhanced' subscription is subject to a fair usage policy. This means that the Property Redress Scheme may move the Member from the Enhanced model to the Entry model if in the reasonable opinion of the Property Scheme the number or types of complaints made against the Member, in relation to the size and work they carry out is excessive. PROPERTY REDRESS SCHEME Guaranteed Rent also known as Rent to Rent is where an individual or company takes an interest in a property for a period of time from a landlord and guarantees to pay a fixed rent to the landlord. The landlord gives consent to the third party, ‘the Renter’, to then rent the property to other tenants. TENANCY MEDIATION SERVICE If tenants are already unable to pay, going to Court just makes the debt bigger. Most commonly, landlords using our mediation service have arrears of less than £25,000 – meaning a cost of up to £600. The time and cost of legal proceedings can easily be significantly more than £2,000 – with an increasing rent arrears debt along the way. ESTATE AGENT BANNED FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL LEGAL ACTION BY An order banning a Brentwood man from estate agency work has taken effect after successful legal action by the National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team (NTSEAT). Sean Boggans was given a prohibition order under Section 3 of the Estate Agents Act 1979 after he was convicted of manslaughter in September 2013.
