For me, being a college student and a mother seems at times impossible, but I do my best to make it work. In order to make it through my classes, I must follow a strict routine with my son. UC AND CSU CAMPUSES TO REQUIRE COVID-19 VACCINATIONS FALL Lauren Muttram, May 4, 2021 The California State University and University of California systems announced in a press release on April 22 that they will require COVID-19 immunizations for all students, faculty and staff returning to campus this fall.. With the intention of maintaining the health and safety of those returning to Cal Poly Pomona and other campuses, the requirement will become HIKING STEPS INTO A PANDEMIC TREND Hiking has always been an accessible activity, but with the pandemic, the popularity in the activity has soared. According to a RunRepeat research study, in 2020, the number of hikes tracked by users on the AllTrails app increased by 171.3% compared to 2019. The number of hikers has also increased by 134.7%, according to the study. WHY ABORTION SHOULD NOT BE AN OPTION Abortion should never be an option simply because it was a mistake and the parents want to find the easy way out of the responsibility of parenthood. Couples or women, who have to make the decision on whether to abort, should be held accountable for their actions, and as a result, should give birth to the child. URIAH SANDERS IS FOUND AND SAFE FOLLOWING THE CPP AND When the news broke of Uriah Sanders’ disappearance, the Cal Poly Pomona and local community took it upon itself to find him, and successfully did so on July 20. CAPS TO OFFER DEPRESSION AND MENTAL HEALTH SCREENING CAPS is also hosting “National Depression Screening Day and Mental Health Fair,” on Oct. 9 where students will be offered free screenings for depression and hosting a fair with fun activities to increase mental welfare. Cal Poly Pomona suffered the loss of fellow Bronco, 21-year-old Jack Detmers, an accounting major and involved member of the campus community who died unexpectedly on March 22. The nature of his passing has not been disclosed. Detmers’ impact was widespread at CPP where he served as director of public ‘LIVE PD’ NOW FEATURING POMONA 2. Every weekend, nearly 2 million people join a virtual ride-along with officers, now including the Pomona Police Department (PD), through the latest season of “Live PD.”. Produced by Big Fish Entertainment, this documentary series on the A&E television network attempts to improve relations between the community and lawenforcement.
