Born between the mid-90s and the early 2010s, Generation Z has been through an insurmountable amount of societal highs and lows. NEW PUMP TRACK IS FINALLY HERE New pump track is finally here. The cycling team is now pumpingafter a new pump track has found its way onto campus here at Colorado Mesa University. To elaborate, a pump track is circuit of rollers and banked turns that are designed to be completely ridden by pumping. Pumping is the action of pushing your body up and down through the GRAND JUNCTION NIGHTLIFE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED Grand Junction nightlife leaves a lot to be desired. Desolate: that is the one word I would use to describe Grand Junction’s nightlife. In a year where teams and athletes had to be ready for anything, the female athletes really stepped up their game and proved themselves in their respective sports. VETERANS OVERSHADOWED: ATHLETES’ HIGH PAY UNFAIR Professional athletes make on average $5 million per year. The average salary for our country’s military personnel: $50,000. There is something wrong with that staggering difference. Military members sacrifice their lives and their families to protect this country, and not to mention give these athletes the chance to even play theirsports.

FEMALE ATHLETES DOMINATED 2020-2021 There have been so many female athletes and women’s sports teams that have dominated this year. In a year where teams and athletes had to be ready for anything, the female athletes really stepped up their game and proved themselves in their respective sports. We wanted to take a look back and recognize some of MALE ATHLETES DOMINATE IN 2020-2021 Male athletes dominate in 2020-2021. In the COVID world that we live in, I wanted to take a moment and recognize all the tremendous athletic achievements that happened this semester. VETERANS OVERSHADOWED: ATHLETES’ HIGH PAY UNFAIR Professional athletes make on average $5 million per year. The average salary for our country’s military personnel: $50,000. There is something wrong with that staggering difference. Military members sacrifice their lives and their families to protect this country, and not to mention give these athletes the chance to even play theirsports.

The League visits children in hospitals, puts on birthday parties, sponsors low-income families for Christmas and much more. GRAND JUNCTION NIGHTLIFE LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED Grand Junction nightlife leaves a lot to be desired. Desolate: that is the one word I would use to describe Grand Junction’s nightlife. Considering that Grand Junction is a college town consisting of many frisky 20-something students, you would think the nightlife would be popping. This, however, is a sad misconception.__
