Occassionally one vine will die out in a row of healthy vines We make sure to replant and fill in the vineyard so that we efficently use the space and make use of all the inputs, trellis, and maintenance. We also removed some varities that we tried and did not like. We are now trialing some pinot noir, merlot, voignier, albarino, and gruner veltliner. We will let you know if a few years if we like them and plan to plant more. #stillfarming #alwayresearching #planningahead* 0

Planting ASPARAGUS is a commitment to the future. It will take three years before we can harvest from these asparagus crowns that we planted this week. We already have two fields but one is more than 25 years old so we are figuring it will need to replaced in the next few years. Our asparagus is starting to poke out of the soil so keep posted for announcements in the next couple of weeks. It all dependson the weather.
