ISAAC BASHEVIS SINGER (1904–1991) Isaac Bashevis Singer (1904 - 1991) was born 14 July 1904 in Leoncin near Warsaw, Poland. He was the son of rabbi. His name was Icchok. The eminent writer. Literary Nobel Prize winner. Most of his works he wrote in Yiddish. Much of his work is associated with memories of Polish, which he left before the World War II. He died on 24 July 1991in Miami, Florida.

The photographs presented in the album “Lublin 1940. Photographs of the Ghetto” were taken in Lublin during the Second World War by a German soldier, an amateur photographer Max Kirnberger. The Grodzka Gate – NN Theater Center received them in the summer of 2008. OŚRODEK „BRAMA GRODZKA ‐ TEATR NN”MIEJSCA
U źródeł narodzin Ośrodka „Brama Grodzka – Teatr NN” leży działalność Teatru NN, który powstał w roku 1990. Dokładnie 11 maja 1990 roku o godz. 17.00 odbyła się w Bramie Grodzkiej pierwsza jego premiera, „Wędrówki niebieskie”. W roku 1998 decyzją Rady Miasta w Lublinie został utworzony Ośrodek „Brama Grodzka – Teatr NN”. Obecnie Ośrodek prowadzi swoją działalność w trzech miejscach: W Bramie Grodzkiej, w Trasie Podziemnej (Trybunał) i w Domu Słów (ul. Żmigród). Wszystkie te miejsca łączy to, że opowiadają o historii miasta. Od roku 2017 Ośrodek otworzył i stał się opiekunem „Szlaku Pamięci”lubelskich Żydów.
