SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Fire crews are still on the scene of ahouse fire tonight.
At 10:30 p.m.. October 9, South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue (SLTFR) was called to a home on Warr Road. Nearby residents calling into the 911 dispatch center said flames were visible, and due to the number of calls, SLTFR Battalion Chief Jay Manning called for Tahoe Douglas and Lake Valley fire departments to come assist as he was en route. Upon arrival, they found the one-story home fully engulfed in fire. Firefighters could see "heavy fire involvement" on the right side ofthe home.

Seven signs have been stolen from yards in Incline Village, most in the Lakeshore Boulevard area, since late June according to deputies at the Incline Village substation. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Smoke from the prescribed burn near Caples Creek should affect the Lake Tahoe Basin through Wednesday afternoon, then shift direction as the winds come from the Northeast. The USFS Eldorado National Forest has completed ignitions on the Caples Prescribed Fire. Crews will patrol and monitor the area over the next few days during the wind event Wednesday through Thursday.
