VISIT – SHARON HISTORICAL SOCIETY & MUSEUM Visit – Sharon Historical Society & Museum. Wednesday – Friday 12-4pm. Saturday 10am-2pm. Admission is free. Telephone (860) 364-5688. We are following public health guidelines for COVID-19 prevention, contact tracing, and to assure the safety and well-being of visitors and staff. VIRTUAL CEMETERY TOURS Virtual Cemetery Tours. Each Year the Sharon Historical Society hosts a Cemetery Walk that highlights Sharon’s famous and infamous former residents. This year we decide to host an online tour complete with maps, biographies and photos. Select one of the tours below to explore Sharon’s history from the perspective of the people who now ACTIVITIES – SHARON HISTORICAL SOCIETY & MUSEUM Activities. Primary sources can be useful tools for evaluating student mastery of skills and concepts. Use primary sources to assess what students have learned and to evaluate their skill in analyzing primary sources. The Sharon Historical Society (18 Main St.) Known as the Gay-Hoyt House, the brick building was built in 1775-1776 by Lieutenant Colonel Ebenezer Gay of the 14th Militia, formerly the North Trainband.
